The Worm Has Turned

So I bought Dexter and Dragon Baby a bag of M&Ms each. For Valentine's day. Dark chocolate for Dragon Baby...cause he's dark and bittersweet you know. And...'cause he likes dark chocolate. Yeah, they have dark chocolate M&Ms now. And regular milk chocolate for the Dexter.

That is as far as I'll buy in to that Valentine's conspiracy.

I fear my little men, when they grow up to be big men, are going to have disappointed girlfriends. I made sure to teach my boys about the deceit and avarice of the advertising industry and the flower, candy, jewelry and greeting card merchants of America. I've also filled their heads with my similar opinions of Christmas, birthdays, and the like. Affluenza isn't just a silly sounding word you know, it's a truth.

Of course I also taught my little men that if you love someone you tell them. Every day. If you do find a gift for someone, a perfect gift? Get it. Give it to them. Don't wait. Show someone love and appreciation and support and all that jazz...show them everyday. Don't get complacent and bored and ignore them and then think a mediocre gift, or even a ridiculously over the top gift, on a MADE UP HOLIDAY is going to solve everything.

That's stupid. And any women who buys into that? Isn't worthy of my men children.

So, yeah.
