Tess of the d'Urbervilles...what a stupid little girl. I should've stayed with Alec d'Uberville. He really loved her. He fought for her, really fought for her. What a stupid little girl not to see that. And he had money, she lived comfortably. Stupid.

I'm trying to decide whether Thomas Hardy is a misogynistic bastard or not. Well, if the book (which honestly I haven't read) is in the least faithful to the movie I just watched. Then maybe not. Maybe Thomas Hardy knew how stupid most women can be. And I'm sure my opinion would be unpopular, but I would rather have a man that fights for me, no matter if he is a bastard. At least he had plenty of money and loved her and didn't cheat on her.

But then I've had two lovely vodkas and lemonade and I'm viscious when I'm...nearly drunk. Not quite. Because you see...I can still walk and stuff, and converse, though I wouldn't drive, no.

But drunk enough to be pissed at some fictious little fool, who had comfort and love in her hand and threw it away. Stupid, stupid little girl.
