Here I am. Going to sleep. You know, I'm really thinking I just want to skip tomorrow's coffee meet. When I start being the lone voice of normalcy in a given situation...it frightens me a bit. But I suppose I have to make sure that's what has a actually happened. So I have to go. Even if it does mean spending a painful three hours with my head down over my drawing pad scribbling...I can't go to a meeting without covering pages with doodles, no real artwork mind you, nothing I might SELL...just doodles. Not cartoony things...lots of sort of free form design, nature, or abstract stuff (some of which, while not sale quality, is still better than the stuff on that coffee house wall).

I'd rather be going OUT, to karaoke, having a vodka and...vodka, playing an abysmal game of pool, smoking illicit cigarettes. I want to try doing Walking After Midnight. It's been playing on the overhead at the Bux and I think I can nail it. The drunks don't care if you hit all the right notes, just that you put some soul into it. That's what I want to do tomorrow.

This...will not be that kind of meeting. More's the pity. But then this is not the weekend for it. The boys are here.

Okay, I'm going to sleep now, and perchance NOT to dream, because it only makes me unhappy.
