Miss Vi told me I'd be fine tonight reading my poetry for my writers group and lo, she was right. All hail the wise and beautiful chanteuse of the sea. Rock on.

I had lots of lovely spoken comments and they wrote stuff on the copies too, which I have yet to read. I want to sit down with a cup of tea and savor them, ya know?

I signed up for a medium piece for August. A short story. So now I have to produce one, don't I?

One of the older gentlemen read his story, part of a novel he's writing about...well I'm not really sure what it's about, is it suspense? Anyway it had a sex scene in it, which creeped me out, hearing this old man read a sex scene aloud in front of so many women. It was only a paragraph long but it was a bit graphic to be reading in public. Ew.
