It went better than expected. I was cranky from lack of sleep, but I did my usual routine of covering a page in my sketchbooks with nonesense.

I figured out...again...how to draw the seven point star. It's tricky. I always have to make a few tries before I get it.

I used to have a seven point star charm. I threw it in the river as a tribute to the river goddess. It was time. I like them just because it's seven, I don't have a better (or worse) reason than that.

But I'd like to have another one, if ever I can afford it again. I don't want some pretty perfect thing though...a lot of the ones I've looked at were too pretty. I want something at least a little rough-hewn looking. This one is nice. But I think I'd be better off just buying some silver wire and making my own.

I get to CLOSE tomorrow night...know what that means? Sleeping in tomorrow morning!

Oh, the young man? Is...well, a young man. Pleasant enough to look at and wonderfully intelligent. But...he may be twenty-two but he looks younger. Em went to MCC with him, so I know he's actually twenty-two, but looking at him I'd say...seventeen.

I felt so old. Pleh. When did this happen? I was thirty yesterday, wasn't I?
