I watched Silkwood. Strange to see a movie made in 1983. It felt so different. I don't know how to describe it. Was it just techniques that were different?

And I watched Disturbia. As he's now 21 I feel able to say that Shia LaBeouf is incredibly sexy. And very funny.

I also watched Ocean's Twelve. I thought Bruce Willis was a bit much, but I love the clothes Andy Garcia was wearing.

I've super-glued my sunglasses. I hope this works.

Tomorrow is trash day. The first of his junk goes out.

I saw a woman in the drive-thru line today I haven't seen in two years. She used to work with me at Beans and Books. She stopped working after she had a baby. Later, her husband became vice-principal at my son's middleschool. That was interesting, but it was nice too. They still lived right down the street from us.

Then he died. I don't know quite how, maybe an aneurysm or an embolism. It was unexpected, he was a very healthy person, a runner. I didn't know about it for months and months. When I saw a note about a memorial walk for him I was shocked.

Then I saw her again today. That's an odd thing.

I have to work tomorrow.
