The Worm Has Turned

When a woman asks for your opinion, that is not a tacit request for advice. When women ask for your opinion that means, "What do you think?" NOT...do your hear this...NOT "What should I do?" So if you proceed to tell her what she should do? In a cold, analytical, condescending manner? Don't be surprised when she rips off your head and hands it to you.

And if you then tell her that her reaction is out of line? She's done with you. Done.

And this is not Dawg I'm talking about. Dawg, amazingly enough, only gives advice when I ask for it. This is a very old friend which I'm sorry I had to lose. This wasn't the first time this kind of thing had happened either. And from the unasked-for advice he gave me...I can see he just doesn't know me anymore. I didn't think that would ever happen. Maybe he doesn't want to accept that I've grown, changed, whatever...that sounds cliche and shrinky..."oh, he's in denial about the growth of my inner person," but it's true I think. We used to mesh very well, he and I, and now I've grown away from the hedonistic tendencies (the uglier, darker ones) we shared and he doesn't like it.

Opinion. Advice. Different. Look it up.
