The Worm Has Turned

Well. Yesterday morning (Monday) the deposit for Saturday and Sunday, the biggest deposit we had this season because it's the weekend before Halloween and our sales were insane...that deposit was stolen out of the store manager's car.

She was suspended pending investigation and seven people quit either in protest or because their friends had quit.

I really like the manager. I felt horrible for her. But I can't afford to be that...passionate. I had to borrow thirteen hundred dollars from my sister to pay my back rent last month or my landlady was going to start eviction proceedings. I need my paycheck and I need my excellent job rating. And the fact of the matter is, she didn't take precautions or even follow procedure.

So I've worked thirty-two hours in three days, with probably another twenty-four to thirty in the next four days. Overtime.

No, I wasn't promoted, as it's too close to the end of the season, I was never trained properly for closing procedures, and I told them flat out--I am not a capable manager. I'm good at assisting, not making the decisions and running the whole show. So the district manager is there doing the closing stuff and scheduling and I'm keeping track of ...well the stuff I usually keep track of. But I'm doing it open to close with no days off.

I'm so, so tired. My teeth ache. My skin hurts. All of me hurts. Hurts, hurts, hurts. I've been eating horribly and I must stop because ew, it's really starting to show and just no. No. I can't have that on top of everything else.

I finally got in to see the Family Services shrink. He's having me try Lamictal on top of my Wellbutrin. So far I can't see the difference, but you have to start Lamictal really slow so you don't get the rash.

Now I'm watching 1776. The movie musical. Fun. Just now the Continental Congress is signing the Declaration of Independence.

'kay. They're done. All independent and stuff. Time for bed.
