You have no fucking idea how much I want a goddamn cigarette right now.

Hey Zeus. No, I do not need a fucking five dollar (plus tax) pack of fucking cancer sticks. I do not.

Yeah, I don't need it. But I sure as hell do want it.

Funny, you'd think after nine hours of full sleep I might be HUNGRY. No, what I want is caffeine and nicotine. I specifically do not want food.

So, I'm going to go watch Rome (my long-lost friend Kimmi says I weel looooove eeet) and make a shopping list, because Dexter and Dragon Baby will appear later today. Big as life and twice as hungry.

I talked to my mom last night. She had called last week when I wasn't home, the boys forgot to tell me. She told me she'd thought she'd dialed wrong because a guy answered.

Yeah, that guy is my thirteen year old son. His voice has gotten very deep.

It is strange to have someone describe traits in your child you know you have yourself....like giving single answers to questions (when people are trying to start conversations...I know I do this) and not elaborating on anything. Using the first available excuse to hand the damn phone off. I wouldn't have thought this type of thing was true learned behavior, I do them because of my personality. Mayhap a combination of genetics and conditioning. No doubt.
